Returning to PowerToHR 4 with The Great Leadership Disconnect

I’m delighted to return to PowerToHR, this time to share ideas from my upcoming book, The Great Leadership Disconnect: How HR Stops Taking the Blame and Starts Co-Leading.

Ask business leaders and many will say, “HR doesn’t understand the business.” Ask HR leaders and you’ll often hear, “Business doesn’t listen.” Both are convinced they’re right. Both are contributing to the same disconnect.

In this keynote, I’ll explore why this divide persists, why many well-intentioned HR initiatives fail despite good intentions, and why the problem often lies less in capability than in leadership assumptions and organisational mindsets. Together, we’ll challenge traditional thinking about the role of HR and explore what it really takes for HR and business leaders to move from partnership to genuine co-leadership.
